Sri Ambujavalli Thayar Sametha Sri Boovaraga Swami Maasi Theerthavari

Sri Ambujavalli Thayar Sametha Sri Boovaraga Swami Temple is located at Sri Mushnam in Cuddalore district. Every year during Maasi Brahmotsavam, Sri Boovaraga Swami is taken on a procession to Killai, a sea-shore for theerthavaari enroute many villages. Before Theerthavaari, Sri Perumal halts at Saint Hazrath Syed Shah Rahmathullah Shutturi Dargah and Muslims offer prayers and offerings to the deity. A silk shawl with sacred Tulasi leaves are offered as Prasad to be placed at the Dargah. This tradition symbolising religious unity is centuries old and continued till date.

Sri Kanyakumari Jaya Hanuman Sannidhi Bhattar Sri Devanathan went to Sri Mushnam and Killai on behalf of Sri Swamiji and submitted silk shawl and offerings.

This year Theerthavaari happened on 27.02.2021 and some devotees of Sri Swamiji were blessed to participate on this auspicious event.
