Kashmir – The Crown of India session for Melbourne Youth

On Sunday, May 25th, Namadwaar Melbourne hosted a meaningful session delving into the rich history of the Crown of Bharat – Kashmir. The event, led by Brahmasri Balaji Sharma of the Vedapatasala, proved to be both informative and enriching for the children in attendance.

The level 2 and level 3 kids, along with the adults, listened with rapt attention to the journey of the land and its people from antiquity till the present. It included the origin story from Rishi Kashyapa, the glorious reign of Lalitaditya etc, and moving on to the history of pre-independence and independence eras, concluding with the current state of affairs.

At the end of the 90 minutes, there was an engaging and thought-provoking discussion among the children, highlighting their deep interest in the topic. This was followed by a spirited Kahoot quiz, conducted by Vasudevan ji. The entire experience instilled a deep sense of gratitude for the blessings of our motherland, the guidance of countless Sadhus, and the protection offered by the valorous and just Indian armed forces.

The evening concluded with a solemn vow to stand by our motherland and Indian armed forces. The overwhelming emotion as the event wrapped up was one of inspiration and a desire to continue learning, echoing the spirit of Captain Batra’s iconic words: “Yeh Dil Maange More.”
